Hugh Calkin, our first known Calkin ancester, was born ca.
1600 in Chepstowe, Monmouthshire, England.
He came to America and settled in Norwich,
Connecticut. Our Calkin
line has resided in Connecticut,
Dutchess Co.,
New York,
Cass County, NE,
and
Audrian Co., MO.
The Powell family has lived in
Etowah and
Dekalb County,
Alabama for at least four generations. Our first known Powell
ancestor, Jeptha, was living in the town of
Attalla at the time of the 1870 census. We hope to have more
Powell family information online soon.

Baird, Henry, and Johnson ancestors lived in Brown County, Oh
in the early to mid 1800's.
William Baird, Sr and his wife Esther Smally were
living in
Cumberland County, PA when their son William Baird, Jr
was born in January 26, 1758. William Baird, Sr and his
wife are buried near Wellsburg,
Brooke County, WV.
The Fitzgeralds
and Johnsons lived in Mason County, KY in the late 1700's
and early 1800's.
This web site is the home of Warren County,
Illinois Genealogy. The Johnson branch of the family
moved
from Brown County, Ohio to Warren County, Illinois in the 1860's.
Our Brook, See, and Burrell ancestors also lived in
Warren County, Illinois in the
1800's and early 1900's.
